Wednesday Washout

Today the rain has not stopped falling.  This isn’t unusual for England, we are known for our rainfall as much as fish ‘n’ chips and the Royal family.

I have observed people hanging their heads low, all doom and gloom.  I stopped off at the supermarket and listened to people complain about the weather and how awful it is outside.  I am a sunshine girl. There is nothing better than feeling warmth wash over my pale skin turning it brown and having beautiful picnics—but I also love a rainy day.

Tea postFor me, it is an opportunity to spend time snuggled up with my toddler under a soft woven blanket. Playing indoor games, and watching endless cartoons.  There is also a time to knuckle down and get on with writing, or reading a good book.

Use rain as an opportunity to hang out at home andstorytime
do all things cosy. Just because it’s raining does not mean that you have to be miserable. Far from it actually…you have the perfect excuse to be a hermit for the day, if you want. You don’t need to water the garden, that’s one less chore off your list.

Or maybe go outside in your best rain attire and jump in muddy puddles. What ever you’re doing today, enjoy it!
